Member Hosted Workshops

The SACC is committed to supporting member business development by offering low- or no- cost educational opportunities on topics of interest to the business community. These educational sessions provide Chamber members with crucial, up-to date information and training on relevant topics and skills that offer practical take-aways to be implemented in daily operations. We identify and encourage members to lead these educational sessions, thus increasing their visibility as experts in their industry.

  • receive promotion before event (Facebook posts, SACC Events Calendar listing, and Monday News & Upcoming Events eblast to over 1,600 member representatives)
  • host is provided with a list of registrants and contact information
  • lunch or refreshments may be provided by host (optional)
  • events can be held in person or virtually

Ribbon Cuttings

Celebrate your new membership, business grand opening, growth, or anniversary with a Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting. This FREE member service offers exposure with a dedicated event listing in our Monday “SACC News & Upcoming Events” eblast, social media posts and a post-event press release. Ribbon Cuttings are a fun networking opportunity for all Chamber representatives to give and receive business support and comradery.

  • Ribbon Cuttings are FREE to all members
  • scheduled Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday from 4:00 – 5:00 PM
  • member provides food and beverages for all attendees, 3-4 door prizes
  • the Chamber provides congratulations sign, giant scissors for cutting ribbon, and ribbon
  • promotion before event includes Facebook posts, SACC Events Calendar, Monday News & Upcoming Events eblast to over 1,600 member representatives

Business After Hours

Hosted by a different Chamber member business each month, Business After Hours gathers area business leaders and community members to network in a fun, relaxing atmosphere. The host organization has an opportunity to showcase their business while guests exchange useful information or just unwind and socialize. It is a relationship-building experience held in a relaxed setting, featuring refreshments and occasionally, live entertainment. Chamber staff and volunteers are available to make member-to-member connections, all in the spirit of strengthening community bonds and shared business interests.

cost to host Business After Hours – $250

  • hosted by a different Chamber member business each month
  • usually occur the second Thursday of each month from 5:00 to 7:00 PM
  • member provides food and beverages for all attendees, 3-4 door prizes
  • promotion before event includes Facebook posts, SACC Events Calendar, Monday News & Upcoming Events eblast to over 1,600 member representatives

Chamber 101

Chamber 101 is a comprehensive membership orientation designed to inform new and prospective Chamber members how to maximize their Chamber investment. Veteran members are also welcome to brush up on what’s new at the Chamber. In this one-hour, interactive session, participants learn about the Chamber mission, member benefits, networking events, committees and other opportunities. Get the facts about how the Chamber serves its members and advocates for business interests.

All new member representatives are encouraged to attend Chamber 101 within the first 90 days of membership. This is a free benefit to Chamber members.

This committee is responsible for retention of members by welcoming and assimilating new members to Chamber functions as well as both visiting and surveying members throughout the year.
